    Intermittent microphone and static

    I currently have a Casio Commando that has intermittent static when calling. It will also have the microphone die and the other end can not hear me. I called into the NEC number and the only advice they could give me is to update the software. Currently have M030 and am leery of updating it. Does anyone know if the microphone issue is a mechanical one, and not a software one? The reason I ask is because the microphone will work again if I tap it on something.
