    Virus? How could I tell?

    simple question really, how do know if your phone has a virus?

    In mu honest opinion phones cant get viruses. Unless your rooted and installed it your self or have an app with stupid permission causing ot to act funny

    Just download any of the antivirus on the android market. They all work fine . But if you had one probably lots of wired data usage..low battery life.. phone getting warm without using it.. etc check your running processes also

    Its difficult for android devices to get viruses. Not impossible but difficult. But you would see high data usage and the phone would run hot.

    Just install an antivirus and run it. Then I uninstall it. They supposedly change how your phone functions. You can do what you like.

    i installed avg on there, scan found no issues. somehow my email got hijacked, it was spamming like crazy. i have this particular email acct setup on 3 devices, my work computer, home computer, and my commando. ran scans on all 3 and they all come up clean, no viruses no nothing. i've changed my password 3 times but that only helps for a short while. i removed the email acct from the phone and that appears to stop the spamming. gotta be the phone... plus it was happening when neither of the computers were powered on. avg didn't find anything though.

    I had a blackberry do that to my hotmail account once. It was my work email too. I was pissed. My Facebook page was hacked last night, and they had me like some cloud player and a politician..... hackers.... mosquitos with a keyboard!!!. Good to know you're clean though. I ran an antivirus on my phone and PC too. Especially after the Facebook incident.

    the weird part is, if i set the email back up on the phone and even changed the password, within a few hours i'd be spamming again.

    That sucks. I would have tech support look into that. Delete the email app, and reinstall it. That's just my thought though.
