    "." folders not keeping pics out of Gallery app....

    Rooted, non up-dated, using Astro.

    Worked for almost a year, now it doesn't. Can think of what changed. Pretty sure I didn't change anything.

    Example: Download pic from email, it goes to "downloads" folder and shows up in the gallery. Use Astro to move file to ".foldername", and ".folderame" shows up along with a thumbnail for the "downloads" folder. If I power down/up, everything seems the way it should.

    Never had problem putting things in ".foldername" before.

    Edit: Used the .nomedia trick to no avail.

    Now using "nomedia" app from Google. Seems to work OK. Hide/unhide folders with one touch....well two touches. I need to rerun the app on hidden folders after something is added.


    Is this fourm always this slow?
