wifi disconnecting

My wifi scans, authenticates and connects. Then disconnects right away. No matter what wifi network I access. I changed kernals with no luck. Have played with every setting I can find. Was working for several days after installing bb v.05. Any ideas?????

I have the same problem. I can connect at Mickey D's but at home, it connects, authenticates and disconnects over and over.

Was having same issue on mine as well at home. Updated firmware on my router and it fixed the issue.

same here...wifey has a droid 1, i have a DX...updated the firmware on my DIR-655 router and now things are running 10000% better for wifi.

Me too same thing, have had Droid X for some time and wifi worked great, now since 2.2 update, can't stay connected. Finds the home connection then drops it immediately. I've tried several "fixes" nothing works. All other computers and other gagets work fine on the wifi, so hesitant to update the router. Have protected security, have to add MAC addresses, all other devices work great. HELP, very frustrating.

Hey this is the first time I ran into this problem in 2 years, I just flashed charity 12.7 on my og droid. I was having the exact problem with the authenticating loop, I tried a heap of different fixes with no success, I was about to flash different roms untill it fixed but I stuck with it, this is what I did. booted into recovery wiped dalvik cache, and cache partition. I then flashed down to chevyno1's ultra low voltage 9mhz kernel (I doubt flashing the kernel had anything to do with the fix but who knows) I rebooted and was still having the problem so I went into prop modder and changed my wifi scan interval from 30 back to 90, then went into wifi settings and wiped the password. I then turned off wifi and rebooted my phone. turned on wifi entered my wifi password and it appears to have fixed the problem (I have stayed connected, turned it off and on again and rebooted my phone and it is still working) I hope this helps someone!

Don't know yet if it will help but I'm going to give it a try, thanks for the info.
