    Tapping the four corners also allows you to use the Droid w/o service from Verizon. You can use everything except phone/3g service. Good to know in case you ever leave Verizon you can still have a mobile wifi/web/email/GPS/maps and everything else sans phone still in the palm of your hands ;-)

    Does the phone still work with Verizon if you bypass this way? Been looking for a way to keep it from downloading all the apps after a wipe.
