BBv5 is on fire, literally someone help

Hi i just installed bbv5 over my bbv4 and i am running kind of hot.
I'm not entirely sure how all this works but i do have it flashed with p3droid's 125/1000 kernel, is it a good idea to flash with something else now that i have bbv5?

Well personally i use chevy's 1100 but I'm not running BB. I'd try ANYTHING else just to cool down your droid or at least reflash the rom so you're back on the stock kernel until you find out what kernels are compatible with BB.

P.S. I just noticed you're brand new! to the forum!!

if I did a full wipe and erase then flashed the bbv5, did that already overwrite the p3droid kernel?

p.s. thanks this place is awesome!

Yes it did. Is your droid cooled off now?

Yes it did. Try the stock bb05 kernel. Its clocked at 800 and I think you'll be suprised how well it runs.

If it's literally on fire, then you probably need a new phone.

Which kernel are you using. Be careful about voltages. Its possible you are using a Med or Increased volt kernel, which will crank the heat up. I always start with ULV if i can, and if the phone won't boot all the way, (which hasn't happened yet fingers crossed) then i would restore and try a LV, and if that didn't work, try a different kernel set from a different dev. Try to run ULV or LV if possible, and if NONE of them work, go with a stock kernel from Pete's ROM. Just my two cents.

P3 250-1200 normal volt kernel is working great for me....(250-1200-v32kernel.zip). runs flawless at 1200 and runs on average 33.0c....

Although Quad scores arent as high as the ones I've seen running slayer.....
