OTA update on Bugless? What'll happen?

I restored to BB v.4, a point before I modded anything and after rebooting I got a system update notification. It's 2.2 and I'm sure there's a 2.2 update, but if I install this update, will I lose root? I thought BB "turned off" the OTA updates.

    Any info on this?

I think your phone might explode into a lot a little pieces.

Don't know but I've got the same issue. Thought that bb rooted would not even get this notification....

I don't know about clockwork, but I do know that SPRecovery blocks OTA updates. You can download it but unless you use the allow update installation within sprecovery the downloaded update.zip cannot be installed. Pretty sure it's this way in clockwork too.

Did a few tests and here is what I seem to come up with -

    1. BB with the StopOTA patch does appear to stop OTA notices
    2. Flashed a rom without the StopOTA patch and as soon as I got logged into google I got the notification, I"m using ClockworkMod and said to upgrade, it started and then gave the ! in the triangle, I rebooted and went back to the main screen no more notices.
    3. I loaded Lithium rom and got an update notice, loaded the patch on there and rebooted no update, re-loaded my save and it asked again for the update.

To me this says a few things, rooted and clockworkmod blocks the attempt to install with no side effects (at least for me), the StopOTA patch does work from what I tested on BB and Lithium rom from what I tested. Other's may experience other things, this is only my observation.
