It Aborts it every time is there any other way

Having had this issue before, if you're on Windows 7 (and Vista too I think) do not name the file "update.zip" you only name it "update" and keep the file in the .zip format.

Try that.

Nope im on a Mac thanks though the problem was safari would mess with the file and mess it up so i had to use mozilla and that fixed it

Evolution_Dock.zip --> This is NOT flashable through recovery. This .zip contains icons and a background dock image that needs to be applied through the LauncherPro preferences.

What it says here is that you can't use the update.zip method of instillation. You have to have LauncherPro to get the text version. I believe it can be found in the market.

I imagine you guys would benefit from this:

I get an "installation aborted" when I try and install the evolution dock. I rename it to update.zip. Any ideas?

The evolution dock .zip file only contains images.

Solution:
1. Extract Evolution_Dock.zip to a folder on your SD card.
2. Download LauncherPro from the market.
3. Set LP as default launcher.
4. From the homescreen, press the menu button.
5. Go to Appearance Settings>Dock background>Custom
6. Select the Evolution_Dock.jpg image.

To change LauncherPro icons refer to this:

1. Press and hold the phone icon.
2. Change Shortcut
3. Applications
4. Phone
5. Custom Icon
6. Navigate To Extracted Images
7. Select Image

* Repeat steps for all icons.

And if you need keyboard help, look no farther than here:

*After installing HTC_IME_themed_by_gIMpSTa.apk*
1. Navigate to Settings>Language & Keyboard
2. Uncheck Android Keyboard
3. Check HTC_IME mod.

Yeah I ment the dock...my bad. Ok so how will I actully unzip it and place it on my phone..like I said I have it on my sd card but don't know what to do with it and were I should look for it..

To unzip the file:
1. If you don't have it already, download ASTRO File Manager from the Market.
2. Open ASTRO and navigate to the file.
3. Press and hold the file until File Options menu appears.
4. Extract.
5. Success.

i got ya bro it isnt you it is him and i am just speaking from a site owner stand point which my user base is much smaller i could just imagine how over worked this server is because of little help me threads of stuff that get answered in master threads

I feel ya on that. I think I'm just gonna make a step by step thread to answer all questions related to the Evolution theme. That way, whenever someone has questions, I can just post a link to the thread and all problems will be solved.

Illiteracy is a common problem among many adults in the US. Apollo: rather than typing out long detailed explainations you should make a youtube video describing it using 4th grade vocabulary and supplemental drawings/diagrams. Shouldn't be too hard since you have a droid.
