I used Calebv2's Metamorph theme for Swype: • View topic - Lots of swype themes

But be careful when you're looking at these theme links. The ones pictured at the top of the post are Metamorph themes you can apply to the new Swype beta after you move it to /system/app. The ones in the links are fully themed versions of the older Swype (version .5612), which I believe has expired and won't work anymore.

Also, in order to theme a file with Metamorph, it must be in /system/app. Once you've installed Swype in the normal way, it will be in the /data/app directory, most likely named com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk. Using Root Explorer, go to that file in /data/app, rename it to com.swype.android.inputmethod.apk (i.e., delete -1 if it's there) and Move it (it won't work if you Copy, you must use Move) to /system/app. You'll need to tap the "Mount R/W" button at the top in order to Paste it into /system/app. Then just tap the "Mount R/O" button at the top and you're ready to use Metamorph. After you apply Metamorph, you're probably going to have to reboot to see the changes to the Swype keyboard.

Search SwitchPro Widget in the market. It gives you up to 7 customizable toggles.
