How can I install this ROM?

I'm a partial newbie for Droid. I have rooted, and upgraded to FRF57 using the Power-X menu at startup. But it requires a specific restore format for ROM changes.

You clearly should read up on installing ROM's before you make the leap. I would say this is partly your fault and partly Koush's since Rom Manager Recovery has to be flashed 3-4 times for it to take properly. Now if you push the .sbf to your phone making sure not to touch, turn off, move, look at, speak to then you should be okay, but before making outlandish comments in the future you might just want to take a step back and ask yourself: was this possibly the result of something that I did WRONG? You asked for help at like 5am were given assistance yet still come back to this thread to make a one lined statement about this ROM bricking your phone. Obnoxious...
I agree with you Tino, but if I was new and this happened to me, I would be freaking out.

So Anilraj420, where in the RSDLite process is it not working?

this has happened to me a couple times and if clockwork wont boot into recovery, if you give it a few minutes it will restart it self and boot back to the prior ROM by default.

New guys be patient, the worst thing you can do is panic and start pulling batteries and doing all this crazy ish when you should just give your phone a minute to reboot and you'd be ok.

    Pete;

Is v0.5 scheduled to be released tomorrow? I'm gonna start calling you Koushik lol. Anyways looks awesome so far. I still need to load up and see if Jake's kernels will play nice...they haven't so far but I'm hoping they will after this update. My battery is always showing up as dead...

Yeah I know I should be telling him but I'm not. I've read others having the same issues with a variety of kernels. Anyways Pete thanks for the work yet again.

P.S. Fab thanks to you as well...I have limited time right now so I'm gonna give you a shout as well here hoping you see it.

Several threads on rom, kernel and theme changes. Easiest way is to use ROM Manager. Download the zip file to the sdcard. DO A FULL BACKUP IN ROM MANAGER. The update the new ROM/Kernel/Theme using ROM Manager.

    Go to Market.

Install ROM Manager (Premium not necessary)

Flash Clockwork Recovery. 3 times for good measure. (Its been fussy lately).

Select Download Rom - Select Bugless Beast - Download Latest

When finished Downloading - Wipe if you want, backup definately - Bam! Complete.

If you buy Rom Manager Premium you are granted access to other developers themes, but anything there can be had here. Find, download to SD card after pushing a particular page with chrome to phone. Go into Rom Manager. Select install Rom from SD Card. find the theme on sd card. Select and install. BAM! Complete.

    thanks problem solved....

Your welcome!!! And For Everybody's Information...I have a bunch of backups...However, how are you supposed to install them with out being able to boot into recovery or boot up at all!!!!??? (if you have an answer that would be amazing and very helpful!)

So yes it was scary... I flashed an earlier version of clockwork recovery found at the bottom of rom manager...thank god.....and it worked like a charm!

I didn't read the posts where you asked for help this morning, so I'm sorry if you've already heard this, but:

This post tells you how to use the .sbf file:

Unroot/Unbrick using .sbf post from -ikithme-

This post tells you what to doif RSD Lite doesn't find your phone:

RSD Lite 4.6 not finding Droid

Specifically, to make RSD Lite detect your phone: open RSD lite, go to config, deviceID options, check first-come-first-serve deviceID mode
