[ROM STABLE] Bugless Beast V0.4 Android 2.2 FRF84B (Fully Deodexed)
This is a discussion on [ROM STABLE] Bugless Beast V0.4 Android 2.2 FRF84B (Fully Deodexed) within the Bugless forums, part of the Custom Roms category; It's not the 800MHz speed they sometimes have issues with it's 1.0GHz and above, and not all Droids are the same you're right. That's why ...

It's not the 800MHz speed they sometimes have issues with it's 1.0GHz and above, and not all Droids are the same you're right. That's why I said "it depends on the Droid you have" here is the warning on the site when installing BB.4. All I'm saying is if you have random shut downs and reboots try reducing the clock speed.

-FRF84BV04.zip (stats)
*All Froyo kernels are supported as long as they are using the "anyrom.zip" format by Koush*
*This ROM is overclocked to 800Mhz by default, not every Droid will be able to handle this clock speed!
Your Droid may not boot up or may have random shutdowns or reboots!*
*No wipe necessary if coming from other FRF57 Froyo ROMs, but if you run into any problems at all then wipe data & cache* "

When you install BB0.4 it warns you that if you install a kernel other than the one that it comes with you may have random shut downs and reboots especially if over clocked over 1.0GHz. I have found that 800MHz is fine and makes the OS run very smooth. The difference between 800 and 1000 is not much, and definitely can't be seen by the human eye, so leave well enough alone and run it as it was designed. I didn't know this till after I installed BB.4 and I was running FRF57 at 1.25GHz and didn't have issues like the ones described till I went from 1.0GHz over to 1.25GHz then problems started even with my browser, it would randomly shut down too. This can depend on the Droid you have, and whether or not it can handle the speeds.
This is not entirely true, nor does this imply using Pete's kernel renders you impervious to random reboots.
The fact of the matter is that some Droids can handle the higher speeds (and/or lower voltages), and some cannot. VERY FEW Droids are so picky that they can't handle the 800Mhz speed, so the law of averages are with you.
One Droid's problems are not every Droid's problems.
This is not subject any one ROM it's subject purely to the phone.

Anybody know the solution to this?

I think yes. for exception of the apps that do not work with X or are made for it.

I would think so...unless the data is stored on your sd card and you have a new sd card w/ the new phone

Well thanks for the help that link tells me that there maybe be a compatable version here soon.... but it doesn't help me with the fact I need to find a stable rom for my Dinc!! Any Suggestions??

Coming from BB 1.1, I'm assuming I want to wipe everything and install as an update.zip file?

yes but if it needs super user permissions you'll have to root it first.
