    Baseband Activation update

    When you guys say you have to reactivate the phone after a baseband update, what do you mean?

    Will i get charged another activation fee by Verizon?

    I am thinking of applying pete's baseband update.

    No, you just dial *228 i believe and do option 1 to reactivate and option 2 for the programming. I also want to try the baseband update but i'm not sure yet. I haven't done it myself yet just read lots of posts on it.

    The person above was mostly correct, but its even easier than that. Right when the phone reboots it will go into the activation screen. Just listen to the lady and push "1" when she says (its automated)

    And you will not be charged for anything

    What is the newest baseband? I have C_01.3E.03P on my kangerade rom, is that the latest?

    The newest is C_01.43E.01P. If you're running one of the Froyo ROMS, i'd say go for it. I'm running it fine. I'm assuming it's fine even if you're still on 2.1 though.
