I just checked in Froyo v0.2 since I haven't updated yet and found that all these settings are in v0.2 and not commented out. Pretty cool that it's there and users can play with virtual memory management. Question I have though is that after reading this post I was under the assumption that it was NOT enabled in v0.2 and could be enabled in v0.2.1 after removing the comments. Again in my case running v0.2 none of these lines are commented out.
OG Droid w/ Pete's GPA16 w/ stock Kernel using auto OC script. (retired)

It's OK for your Droid to be different. Just be supportive and reassuring and it will do just fine. It's when you or other people point at it or mock it for being different is when its' feelings get hurt. Just show it unconditional love regardless of its' differences and it will in turn reciprocate that love and loyalty.
I'm not an advanced user, but I play one on these forums
Nice job, Pete. Haven't had it up and running long, but looks like I'm already seeing some gains in battery and ram mgmt. I had a few widgets that were always breaking because I just have way too many, and those look like they are running rock solid right now.
Great work Pete, been looking for a replacement for droidswap since it won't work on Froyo!!
Only on BB!
what version of BB is this in because I've tried making this change via Astro File Manager and Root Explorer(full) I cannot even find sysctl.conf to edit it. I did a search and only found it in: /system/xbin/sysctl
Should I edit that? halp pls.
