    Quick Question

I have been running BB for a month or so on 2.1 with a LV 1300 kernel. For this new Froyo Update, can I install it like I did with 2.1 by labeling it update.zip and going through the same process as before? The reason i ask this is because the thread I found with a step-by-step looked to be like it was for someone who was trying to go to Froyo from the stock 2.1 OTA update.

The other question I have is, what does this Froyo update allow me to Overclock to? Or will Pete be releasing OC kernels like he did before eventually for this as well?

Please forgive me, Ima NOOB and but I'm trying to learn. Thank you for the help and your patience.

    For Clockwork:
    1) Put file on sdcard
    2) Open ROM Manager
    3) "Install ROM from sdcard"
    4) Navigate to the file you placed on sdcard

    For SPRecovery:
    1) Rename file update.zip
    2) Place on ROOT of sdcard
    3) Boot into recovery
    4) Select install update.zip

Same thing for the kernel. Pete doesn't have kernels in his OP...or last time I looked he hadn't. I use P3's kernels...sorry I don't have a link for you, but a search of "p3 froyo kernel" should guide you in the right direction.

Froyo has JIT enabled by default...that in combination of an OC kernel is ridiculously fast.

    Have fun and good luck

[EDIT] Didn't feel complete until I linked you to the kernels! Here you go: P3's Froyo Kernels

Can you just download via rom manager, or is it necessary to dl to sd card manually using CM?

Yes you can dl from ROM manager. I was giving the above options because it sounded like his previous install was done through SPRecovery (update.zip). I just added the Clockwork method on there cause I prefer it over SPR

Nevermind, I'm retarded. So far I seem good to go. It's running and syncing now. I haven't loaded the kernel yet because I want to make sure I have no issues with this before I move on to other stuff. Thanks!
