music player no flac or album art

Hey guys i decided to finally post something here. Not a major problem but i noticed i dont have the music player widget with album art or FLAC support. Im running BB1.1. Wiped and cleared cache twice and reinstalled still no change. Any ideas?

It probably has to do with the I.D. tags that you're downloaded music have, or perhaps lack of I.D. tags.

I'm not certain what you can do to fix it, there is a way to do it manually. I do believe however if you download iTunes and import your library to it it will solve this issue. I'm not sure if Windows Media Player does it or not. I know that iTunes has an advance section that deals with I.D. tags.

There are also some app that will solve this for you. Search music in the Market and see if you can find something there.

What he is talking about is the music widget not having the albumb art like in 1.0 with the nextheme

yes and correct me if im wrong but i believe i read that bugless beast is suppose to have that music player or at one point did maybe not anymore?

I had it on bb1.0 with nextheme but seems to be gone on 1.1

To play flac files all you need to do is open the file with a file browser, such as astro. You can even set the file extension to automatically open with the music player via astros settings.

The music app from 1.0 was removed due to some issues it caused, to get it back place the file on your sdcard and run the switchmusic script.

Nice I am stoked to be able to play FLAC now. Most of my music is in FLAC and I have just been converting it.
