bb1.1 gps not working

Well it's noy BB v1.1 because I just used both my Google Maps and SkyDroid golf GPS and they both worked perfectly... in fact Google Maps was accurate of my location within the 90 meters it was claiming to be...

Ran google maps navigation without an issue today with BB1.1. I have had issues with the GPS not finding me and have fixed it by exiting all apps that use GPS and cycling the GPS off for a minute or two and turning it back on.

Maps > Menu > Login or Maps > Menu > More > Login (can't remember which)
It will ask for permissions, allow it.

Having the same issue.

Says "login failed" @ maps, and wont find location.

Cycled GPS on/off w. power management widget, no avail.
Also says "Your location is temp. unavailable" @ car home when trying to find it.

Maps.google.com is also a no go on getting location from the browser.

Your not going insane. I had the same exact issue happen to me this afternoon. Now it locks on fine, even in my room. I still get the Login failure notice now, but GPS is working fine. makes me wonder if it was something else?

That also fixed the Login error. but GPS was working without it.

I had somewhat of the same issue, I had to enable using Wifi networks and turned wifi on, then it seemed to kick in an work. If you are in a building, try going outside and see if GPS finds you.

Yesterday I flashed my phone 4 times and had the opportunity of seeing this 4 different times. Each time I opened up Google Maps it would say login failed but I'd notice a ! in the notification bar -- upon opening -- was asking me to allow access to my gmail account. Upon granting access - viola - everything worked each time. I rebooted to get rid of that "login failed" and GPS worked just fine every time.
