    Non-OC BB faster than stock?

    I've read that Bugless Beast, without overclocking, is still faster and smoother (and possibly more stable) than stock 2.1. Is that true? If I get an hour to kill tonight I hope to find out first hand, I'm just curious how (if true) that was accomplished.

    Also, any negative/positive effects on battery life?

    It's probably true on a purely academic level, but I'd have to experience it to tell you if it's noticable.

    I believe its true. Petes BB has a really good way of freeing up ram and therefore resources to keep the phone running at its fastest. Battery life has been good for me but I am OC to 1Ghz so it would probably be better if I was stock

    I would say from experience that BB is must more stable than stock 2.1. I about gave up on this phone until I rooted and went with BB. My phone runs smoother, faster and cooler. I've tried other ROMS, some had a better/different theme or functionality to them but as far as durability you can't go wrong with BB in my opinion. I'm not trashing any bodies elses setup, BB just runs better for me.

    Use rsdlite and SBC recovery to root.

    To install rom;

    Change zipped rom to update.zip
    place on root of card
    Allow install
    Then install
    Reboot and enjoy.

    I'm driving now but ill check on a bit. If you have any issues post and ill help you out later.
