About LinkBacksI don't know what I did!
I was playing with SpareParts, and I tried installing an alternate version of spare parts so that I could get the "keep home launcher in memory" option. For some reason, now when I hit the power button, my screen doesn't turn off.
I tried putting the old SpareParts back again, and I tried rebooting.

Cool CM Tricks
custom_backup_list.txt - make a list of files in /system that will survive a nightly install (ringtones, notifications, system apps, wallpapers, whatever)
in Terminal Emulator, set this as your shell command: "/system/xbin/su -c /system/xbin/bash". You get all the features of bash, root access, and you can still use the initial command field for whatever you want (default is adding /data/local/bin to your path)

I'm so glad I looked here! That fixed my problem. I'll confirm that the "Home then sleep" option doesn't work.

05-22-2010 12:51 PMboy.. that setting couldn't be any more ambiguous. Why does spare parts reference the "red" end button? I changed that setting a few days ago because I thought it was the End Button from within a call (thinking that then my phone would stop locking after a call).
Anyhow -- I have reflashed my phone about 5 times (including a factory reset) trying to figure out why my damn phone wouldn't go to sleep. Uninstalled all the apps I had installed recently and the thing still did it.
Anyhow, thanks for the fix!
