my battery life with adamz's low voltage kernel running @ 800mhz is amazing. After heavy use texting/following scores/using navigation for around 15 mins total and about 8 or 9 hours total I was only down to around 60%

damn...my phone has been unplugged for 4 hours with normal texting a few calls and its already down to 70% and thats being rooted with BB v.7 running @ 800mhz too with chevys 1.1 kernal.

Thanks! I have enjoyed all aspects of this phone and especially the ability to change and tweak.

I'm a firm believer in doing the "work" yourself. I prefer to know what is and is not going on to my phone.

matt, i read your article previously and have done pretty much everything you specified, i've used my phone as you've described in your article for quite some time and it still behaves the same. i may end up buying a new battery in hopes that it would resolve that. i mean literally i havent done much to my phone today accept the basics, make a few calls, send a few txts, and prob browsed the web for a max of 15 mins, havent played any games, downloaded 2 apps tho, havent really checked anything else and the phone has been off the charger since 10am and its down to 40% right now and its 6pm. i dont expect much from the battery anyways but i hate seeing how mine underperforms compared to others. oh well...

Well, its been 72 hours with BB v0.7 and no updates from Pete. How many new versions do you think we will have in the next 24 hours?

Just tried out one of AdamZ's low voltage kernels with v.7 and this thing is nice. I got the 600mhz and with JIT enabled this thing is still smooth and fast but way cooler. I am hoping to get more battery life and we shall find out for sure by end of the day tomorrow.
