About LinkBacksI recently replaced my DROID as I'm sure many others are starting to do. I was wondering if it would be possible to create a ROM specifically for using the Droid as a wifi device. I would like to see all of the phone features removed and all of the features that can't be used on a wifi only device. I'm going to start messing around with it, but I don't really know what I'm doing. Any thoughts?

If that is the case, you can just put it in Airplane mode and then turn on WiFi separately. No need for a custom ROM unless you also want a custom launcher (ie: really small tablet). 09-23-2011 06:17 AMI have it in airplane mode now. I was hoping that all of the unnecessary settings and apps could be deleted to declutter the menus and speed up boot times and possibly increase battery life and performance. I've tried removing some apps but I just end up with constant force close issues. The idea needs far more knowledge than I have. I'm not really looking to add functionality, just looking for a ROM made specifically for a wifi device.
