How to install a Kernel ?
I'm pretty comfortable with ROM installation etc. I'm a little unclear on how to install a Kernel.
Can someone point out the, probably, obvious procedure ? I'll be using Bugless Beast (Currently CM7 but decided to go back). Kernel first ? Bugless first ? etc. etc
Any recommended Alphonso Kernel's for an OG ?
Thx

Put zip file for whichever kernel on sd card and flash like a rom. Flash rom first then reboot into android and then back into recovery and flash the kernel. It always seems to work better for me doing it that way.

Moto Droid 2
LGB 3.2
Steel Blue Theme (everything they offer, I use)
Overclocked to 1.2ghz and undervolted thanks to Jakebites Mod
The ONLY think I like better on this phone than my OG, is the memory....THAT IS ALL!!!

I don't mean to steal homemade****show's thread, but can you flash kernel over kernel or is not not recomended?

You can flash a kernel over another. Its a good idea to load a few kernels, just in case one makes you bootloop. If that does happen, just boot to recovery and flash another. But it's a good idea to make a backup whenever you make changes like that.
BTW, its homemadeHITshow. I think you put an S in there. Thats why our language filter edited out. And for future reference, that's what we call "bypassing the language filter" and is grounds for infractions, in some cases. But I can see its an honest mistake.

I see, thanks for the reply. Sorry about the cursing incident.

No biggie. It looked like an honest mistake.
A little info on kernels: if one makes you bootloop, either go down in frequency or up in voltage. So if a 1ghz ulv(ultra low volt) kernel makes the phone bootloop, go to a 900mhz ulv or a 1ghz lv until you find one that works.
