It's a matter of perspective:

• If you want the latest android ROM, that's closest to Stock ROM, without many glitches, then this is the ROM for you.
• If you are used to the extra bells and whistles of CM7, then this ROM will, by comparison, be sub-par.

Assuming you have the original Droid by Motorola, you'll need to root it first, and then install this ROM....

Follow the instructions here: Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version

Only instead of SPRecovery, use RZRecovery ([Recovery] RZR SPR-based *update.zips-battery charging-more*)

And instead of the update.zip in that topic, use GPA17.

Any specific reason to use RZR over SPR? (Other than u have to rename to update.zip when using SPR)

So it's okay for people to say "great job!" With no indication of what exactly is good, but as soon as someone doesn't like it and gives no reason as to what they didn't like suddenly he's a disgrace?

I'd say you're more of a disgrace than he is simply because you pushed the rude button first. Yes he could've given constructive criticism but it IS his opinion.

That is probably my primary reason... when I update ROMs, I typically update to a different kernel as well, and install other apk's as system apps (like wheres my droid and mobile defense)... it's easier for me to drop them all on the SD card and do them all at once, then having to constantly reboot and rename files. That and it has quite a few more features and the ability to wipe dalvik, something SPR doesn't do.

the title says it all. sorry, for some reason i can't type in caps either *scratches head*... anyways i'm sure everyone on the latest gpa build is experiencing this in the market. go to say, facebook and try to download it. nada. a nice yellow "this device is incompatible" message at the top. i was really hoping that the 9-22-build would have fixed this. this can't be just me here...

Works fine for me... I was able to download Facebook without a problem (and promptly deleted it as well... Friendcaster is much better IMO).
