Help!! Droid 1 - powers on to blank screen

Heard incoming call
Notification Blue LED blinking from missed call
BACK/MENU/HOME/SEARCH buttons illuminated
Battery pull / then charger doesnt' do anything
No boot screen Power / X

Any way to factory reset via PC USB?

Just to confirm, you've tried a restart & battery pull. No boot animation exists and nothing ever appears on the screen.

Can you try powering on holding down the volume button?

So I take it this is not a d3 since you have a camera button. That would make a bit of difference on which keys to press. Either way, sounds like you're dead in the liquid crystals.

Since I can see connection with RSD Lite after powering on holding down vol + Camera buttons (thought no screen) I'm reading this thread on
Getting back to stock with RSDLite

Can't see screen - Held Down Volume + Camera Buttons + pwr - waited 30 sec (ought to be in btldr screen)
Connected to RSDLite / Selected sbf / Flashed sbf 100%

SBF Files (Flash Using RSD Lite)
FRG22D = VZW_A855_FRG22D_QSC6085BP_C_01.43.01P_SW_UPDATE.sb f
Then reflashed with
FRG83G = VZW_A855_FRG83G_QSC6085BP_C_01.43.01P_SW_UPDATE.sb f

Flashing to a stock SBF erases everything on the phone and reverses it to a stock DROID. Right? Need to get it unrooted to exchange with Vz due to liquid crystal defective screen. Mftr's defect / warranty.

i had this issue with mine as well. sadly it was after i dropped it. however i was able to fix it.
what i did was simply hit the top of the phone against my hand a couple times and it worked just fine after that. happened to me twice and my father once. it's odd yes...but it worked for me.
