Can't say. The version of FRG83G there is the stock from Verizon that's been rooted, so it may have the same issues. At the same time, if you download Wired Tether or Wireless Tether you may be OK. Surprisingly Wireless Tether shows up in the Android Market in this version. It hasn't been suppressed like with other updates by Big Red.
The only other "issue" I have with the OEM version is the fact that every time I boot into it, I have to reflash CWM... it always overwrites it with the OEM recovery. Same with this one?
Okay, in regards to the RZR then, does it "stick" or do you have to reflash it each time you need it? I can't imagine it being any different than CWM in this regard...
Good to know, thanks.

Confirmed... this version of FRG83G does not overwrite the recovery program when it is restored. CWM remains intact after every reboot. Haven't tested the tethering yet.
