Had to switch back to a FroYo ROM before I tried to fix Gingerbread with a BIG ****ing HAMMER. It would've felt good at the time, but in the long run I would've missed having my phone, and D1s are harder to come by these days.
I guess you can count me as lucky too then. I think that the number of people that have the phone call issues are actually the minority. If more people had the problem then these threads would be on fire with people complaining. Yes, there are posts about the problem, but not that many in comparison to how many people have been using GPA or any of the other full GB ROMs.
Idk I'm having all the same issues. GPA15 fixed the fact that my maps app used to crash in BB 0.6.2 whenever I searched from the keyboard, but other than that GPA15 has been unbearable. It's likely its constantly out of RAM, or at least that's how it feels, because even launching my home screen app freezes up often, things get unresponsive, can't even use my soft keys at some point. The worst thing of all though is the phone app. Locks up, continues to vibrate after answering, can't use the notification drawer, freezes when the call is ended forcing a battery pull.
It's possible that there are a lot more people having these issues that just switched back, or that they just haven't come on and complained because they were like me just trying to figure out how to deal with it and hoping it was something incidental at the time. But I can't take it any more, I'm done ignoring this. And I find it really hard to believe that issues this big are in the minority. I really doubt that a majority of Droid 1 users with GPA15 are not seeing any of this. The D1 just doesn't have the RAM to run this smoothly.
I'm with jedidove - i've run GPA15 for a month now with constant phone and 3G issues. i followed the installation instructions to a T on a recent build OG Droid. don't know what happened, but i need my phone to actually work as a phone.
how do i get rid of this thing? Twice, I've wiped the cache and factory reset the phone, then reinstalled a rooted 2.2. didn't work. now i seem to be stuck with a crapped out droid.

Are you guys using the partitions menu? Wiping boot data system and cache? My GPA is working99% okay
