    Success

I re-downloaded with Safari, Safari said 60.1mb on status, The Mac still said 63mb (on file info) I transferred to the phone. Astro said 60.1mb(on phone)

    FLASH.......Reboot......Pulsing eye........SUCCESS!
(ultimately I was being lazy and did not wipe anything this go around)
    But it did work.

Thank you, DAWARE & WEBEOUGHER for the quick replys (keeping the mac bashing to a minimum) & some insight & support.

I think having rom manager wipe dalvik causes problems with getting stuck at the "m". I'm not sure why.

That's why I wouldn't use ROM manager for any flashing or wiping.

My wish is that the D3 comes out, has a dual core OMAP 4430 (at least), ff camera, 8mp, and 768ram, AND (most importantly) Pete gets the phone and we start seeing updates to the software, unlike the moron carrier/manufacturer combo.

    Long Live Pete!

The Motorola Atrix is awesome. Very powerful and fast. I hope the Droid 3 will be as awesome as it. Come on Motorola!

    Can't Get Data Back

Way awesome Pete! Already downloaded and installed.

I have one question though. With the past few ROMs I've been having problems getting a data connection back after loosing it due to geography.

For example if I enter the fortress like building I work where no data is allowed to enter or travel through the underground metro/subway system I will of course and very understandably loose my data connection.

The problem is that when I re-enter an area where I should be able to get data there is none to be had. The 3G symbol reappears but will not flash green and none of the data requiring apps will function. The only way I can get my data connection back is if I reboot or switch the phone into plane mode (turning all the radios off) and then switching out again. Sometimes I have to switch plane mode on and off several times before the 3G will glow green and my data apps work again.

Anyone else out there experienced this issue? Should I just wipe, reinstall the ROM and hope the problem goes away?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    -Dave

Pretty sure he just grabbed the 5/2 beta and renamed it to stable. I don't think anything changed.
Can Pete please confirm this, or someone with a better connection than myself download the files and compare hashes?
    'preciate it.

I have had the same exact problems with losing the ability to access data. It was weird because the signal indicator would turn white then back to green. So when it was white i couldn't access data but when it was green i could. The only thing that would ever solve that issue for me was to go into plane mode then back out of it. It got so frustrating that I finally went back to the stock rooted rom for our phone (Droid 1). At least there I have a good signal all the time.
