New to rooting and roms.. went with GPA14 and petes 1.0ghz LV kernel on Droid1... install went perfect...
1. My Verizon Mobile just shows the splash screen over and over, never goes into app.. The data usage widget shows "not connected". Friend with same phone model/rom/kernel had same issue - any workaround?
2. If I used petes 1.0ghz LV kernel - does that alone make my phone overclocked to 1ghz? Or do I need to use a program like setcpu on top of it?
3. If I want to "downgrade" to petes 0.6ghz SV kernel I would have to wipe and flash just the 0.6ghz kernel correct? do I have to lose all my apps?
4.. related to the above... pete suggests not using backup programs when installing his roms.. once i am on his roms (gpa14) - can I go to say gpa15 and use app backup programs to make the app reinstalls quicker? how do you all try all these roms so quick - do you reinstall apps from scratch and manually re-do settings?
5.. my friend is having an issue with same phone-droid 1/gpa14/1.0ghz LV kernel and the usb cord being connected to her laptop. stock droid 1 FRG83G the problem did not occur. What happens is the screen "jitters/twitches" at times (affects swype, scrolling thru apps list and clicking and dragging app icons etc.) - it only occurs when she is connected via USB to her laptop.. if she uses same usb cord to wall outlet - no issues.. obviously its a usb port/laptop issue? any suggestions as to a workaround?
more questions to come up in the near future. :-)
