    Google maps freak out

    Recent issue I've been having all of a sudden. An error box pops up for Google maps saying it needs to force close. You know that classic error box. But it pops up non stop every 5-10 seconds no matter what I'm doing, texting, phone talking and not using maps. And having it killed with the task killer.

    Any ideas? Thanks

    Have you tried uninstalling int and reinstaling it via market?

    Me Too

    I recently wiped my phone and installed BB v 0.6.2.1 and now Maps 5.1.0 FC's every minute or so. It doesn't necessarily happen all the time; but when it starts FC'ing, it won't stop until I reboot. Force Closing doesn't help since it just starts again. I uninstalled updates and reinstalled...no joy. Maps is installed on the phone, not the SDCard.

    Mine has been doing the same thing. I've tried everything that has been mentioned here but the symptoms won't go away.

    same here...facebook closes all the time too. also had problems with the dialer freezing/force quiting. recently installed a chevyno1 kernel though...not sure if that could have anything to do with the stability issues

    Still getting this, although Maps has now been updated to 5.2.
    Does anyone know if it happens on other ROMs?

    Has there been a fix for this? I was reading somewhere that google maps have been having some FC issues with custom roms (supposedly it get this FC with firmware that's not official). This horrible FC is driving me nuts. Any fix on this?
