Ok, I just fixed compcache, sorry for it being broken I really should have had people test my ROM before release. I also made a new reboot icon, the one included before was hideous and bothered me. And I included the Gingerbread Music status bar icon.
Oh, almost forgot to mention, I modified/cleaned up the coding in the ramdisk (again) for faster boot times and such (theoretically, I havnt timed it though).
If already on V0.6 or newer there will be no need to wipe
Should I:
1) Release V0.6.2 with these changes
2) Wait a bit and make more changes (not sure how long the wait will be)
3) Make a patcher ONLY for the compcache fix

just a patcher perhaps...which would only consists of a framework-res.apk in an update.zip right?

I concur with Joel: release a compcache patch now (I assume a small *.zip to install via Recovery) and wait for 0.6.2 to include this patch plus whatever else is coming.

12-22-2010 12:59 PMI'd give 6.2 a little more time in case more problems arise. also, the extra time will allow you to add other things that you may think of or members suggest. an upcoming 6.2 w/a new feature or two would serve as a treat for members...something for them to look forward to. personally, i don't want to wipe my phone 3 times in 3 days...and possibly again in the near future if yet another update comes out lol. i appreciate this poll, pete. it was a good idea.

12-22-2010 01:03 PMSince 6.1 was just released, I would give it more time to see if/what other issues there are before releasing 6.2. I would say create a patch that fixes the issue, but also add that (and more) to 6.2.

I would vote to wait until more issues get addressed before you release a new version. -
