    I use fancy widget. It's a clock/weather widget that also displays battery percentage left. It's free in the market.

    Look on xda for circular battery indicator. Uses virtually no juice Rio run

    I use Battery Left, but I can't say it's the best. I have an extended battery and I use the widget to give me mV (instead of percentage).
