I had this problem this week -- what was happening was that it would be at 10% and then I'd plug it in for a charge and it'd rocket up to 70% in about 10 minutes. Impossible! I wiped battery stats but that didn't fix it, so what I did was ran it down completely, then plugged it in to charge it and let it charge to 100% and then left it there for at least another hour without touching it at all. Since then my battery life is much more accurate and seems to be better.

FWIW, I'm using the same kernel so you might have the same results.

I'd say it's the ROM. I just recently switched to UD after suffering and waiting for .6

.5 ate my battery up. I have an extended, and it died twice as fast as my regular battery. Now I switched ROMs and the battery lasts for days.

My battery life has also started sucking recently. I've been on BB0.5 since it was released, but the problem just started a few weeks ago. I assumed it was the battery & ordered a new one on Amazon for like $5 shipped. I'll post results when it arrives.
