Apps2SD apps location?
I just installed UD V10 and got my sd card partitioned, and enabled the apps2sd option in the settings. My only question is where do my installed apps go to on the sdcard because i'm not seeing any folder or file for the apps i install. I do however see in the manage applications section and click on an app it says SD card in install location. Thanks for the info guys.

i noticed that too but that directory is not inside the sdcard and that folder is empty even after i installed apps. Anyone have any clue? Also is the idea behind this is if we do wipe data/ and cache when we start our phone all our apps will still be there without reinstalling them since they are saving on the sd card?

I just checked mine, and the folder "sd-ext" is not in your normal folder named "sdcard". It is separate alltogether. I now have 2 directories, one named sdcard, and one named sd-ext. In my sd-ext folder all my apps I installed after partitioning my sdcard are in there. It's only the apps you install AFTER you partition that get stored there.
Android phones have a limited amount of RAM. Only 256MB. Running apps takes most of this RAM up. With Apps2SD and swap, you can now have 256MB free all the time
. Which in turn causes better performance.

If the partition script was used there should be a seperate ext2 partition for apps2sd, block device /dev/block/mmcblk0p2.
It appears it's mounted to /sd-ext and is browsable from the terminal. I can't verify at the moment but the partition appears to be mountable from a linux host via usb.

You also need to enable Apps2SD in Settings->Applications

I did not enable apps2sd until _after_ I reinstalled all my apps. I thought it was enabled by default. Oops!
I wonder what will happen is I move all apps from data to sd-ext???

How well is apps2sd working for everyone? I have seen all the discussions on card speeds, an our limitation to class 2 speeds, which is why I ask. Apps2sd is one of THE main things I want, as I have literally hundreds of apps I'd like to be able to choose from..

I got a Class 4 card at Office Depot and am using it without any issues.
