ultimatedroid not allowing me to edit notification bar text

UltimateDroid doesn't let me use pulldown editor to change the notification bar or lock screen info. No matter what I change it to no text shows up, its just blank. Can anyone help me with this? I'm using ultimatedroid 9.8 also tried 9.0.

I have metamorph and am following all the procedures and no dice. Much thanks in advance guys, this forum rocks!

Use the update.zip option instead of metamorph

Open Pulldown Editor (make sure it's the latest version!)
    Click "Extract Needed Files"
    Type the text you want
    select "update.zip"
    Click "Generate Theme"
    Click "Reboot to Recovery"
If it stalls at the recovery menu, select the choices to install from sdcard or install, then allow update, then update (deprecated). This all depends on which recovery product you are using.

This has worked for me on all 2.1 ROMs

I think an issue is I'm an old Alltel customer and I was grandfathered over into Verizon ( i still kept my alltel plan though).

Even though I'm an old alltel customer, its still strange that I cannot edit my notification bar with MM+PullDownEditor. No matter what I put in there the space is always blank (on my lock screen AND notification bar).

Re: ultimatedroid not allowing me to edit notification bar text

I had a few problems using the pulldown editor with Metamorph. I finally got it to work using the update.zip method. I don't think it has anything to do with UD.
