Making bettercut work with UD and Helix

So I finally managed to make these three work together for more then just a few icons

here is a simple walkthru:
1. download bettercut, home switcher and any icon packs you want
2a. make sure you have open space on your helix screens somewhere, the easy way is to just open up 3 or 4 1x1 spaces on the main screen
2. to use home switcher, open the app and pick the stock launcher, not helix
3. add any apps you want to make shortcuts with new icons onto your home page
4. open better cut, edit shortcut, pick the one you want to edit, pick a icon or picture etc and hit save (edit text if you want)
5. open home switcher again, that new icon is now on your helix desktop

Its nice to be able to make good use out of a paid app that I haven't been able to for a while. Hope this isn't a total repost

So im confused? sorry but you were having trouble using better cut with helix on UD?

Another way is if you have better cut and helix just long press on the screen then click "shortcut" ---> better cut ---> activity ---> select the application and the icon and then it'll be right on your helix desktop

Thats exactly what i did/do. i was confused by the round about way of this method he is explaining. i always thought bettercut was simple this way just makes it seem hard.

Arrrrggh!! I can't believe I've been doing it the long way all this time. Haha thanks lol I never knew what that activity part was for lol

This is exactly what I would do previously with better cut but ever since 8.x UD, it has not functioned for me on UD.
I'm glad to hear its working well for others though

edit- this method now works finally too! it did not work for me at all for the last two UD's, the activity window would never load or force closed constantly

Yea its funny how on some roms things will be buggy so you just get used to doing it one way and forget the other.

@checho what icon pack is that please. I didn't see it mentioned in the thread and I looked up and down in the Market searching keyword icon. I like that all black and grey look. Thanks.
