If I accepted the 2.1 update from verizon then went back to 2.0.1 then rooted again, is there a way to go back to 2.1 if I have to take my phone to verizon?

Yes, you would follow one of the "back to stock" threads which would take you back to 2.0.1, unrooted

I think he's asking how to get to stock 2.1 unrooted if he has to go to Verizon.
Search this forum and elsewhere for the official OTA update.zip. I think if you were to install it over stock 2.0.1 you would have an unrooted 2.1.

Simple...use RSD Lite to get back to 2.0.1 and then force your phone to update through your settings or do a manual install of the "official 2.1"

Ahh...I was under the impression that the 2.1 update would get re-pushed once the network saw the 2.0.1 phone sitting out there or via the "System Updates" option in Settings->About Phone

It might...I wasn't sure if there would be a point at which Verizon will stop pushing the update. But that might be a long while off.

I just went back to stock using rsd lite and my phone rebooted and im back at stock but rsd is telling me to restart my phone manually, ive done this twice and its still saying it. I tried closing it but it says it may damage my phone. DMUpdater is rooting my phone while it is still connected to rsd. Should I just unplug it?
