I got an email today from Verizon thanking me for upgrading to 2.1, which I didn't do from them. I've had 2.1 for several weeks now and have received no notification from Verizon about a download or install. Just found this to be curious.

I think on the first 2.1 ROM I installed I got an e-mail from Google thanking me for purchasing a Nexus One

Thundershed 1.4, imo 6.0
Yeah I got it too. Pretty useless email IMO.
I wanted to write them back and thank them for being so timely and quick with the release of 2.1 ....LOL...... If I didn't have to wait so long on their update I would have never rooted my phone and seen the light of all these great custom Roms.....Thanks Verizon!!!! And thank you Black Droid for kicking them in the groin!
I just got my email. And I never even got the notice from my droid to update. BWAHAHAHAHA
Facts are a wonderful thing. They can be proven true or false. Opinions on the other-hand aren't facts and generally get argued to death. I wonder which one is more helpful normally?
I got one today too. I periodically check in system info for the update message & it's never been there until after I got the email today - there it was. And there it will stay.
