BD and team...need help with partition of sdcard

Hey guys...just got my new Class 6, 16GB card...and went to go do the partitions. I would like to believe I am fairly quick..but I am just not getting this.

I formated the card first...then followed the instructions in the 9.8 thread...I tried first in terminal emulator but got permission denied when I tried to "chmod 755 parted". so launched command promt and did adb shell

    C:\Documents and Settings\HP USER>cd C:\Android\Android SDK\tools

    C:\Android\Android SDK\tools>adb shell
    # cd /system/xbin
    cd /system/xbin
    # chmod 755 parted
    chmod 755 parted
    chmod: parted: Read-only file system
    # chmod 755 mk16sdpart.sh
    chmod 755 mk16sdpart.sh
    chmod: mk16sdpart.sh: Read-only file system
    #

    Reboot to Recovery

    C:\Android\Android SDK\tools>adb shell
    # /system/xbin/mk16sdpart.sh
    /system/xbin/mk16sdpart.sh
    /system/xbin/mk16sdpart.sh: permission denied
    #
    C:\Android\Android SDK\tools>

    What am I screwing up?

For the first step, run the script sysrw to make the system r/w intead of ro.

For the second step, you need to mount system in sprecovery

Yes you are reading it correctly Maybe it will give you a little insight on some features V10 will hold

and also I have went back and added the "sysrw" to the instructions. I dont know how I could have missed that.

Hey Blackdroid! I was playing around with Droidswap and was wondering what swap size you'd recommend, the stock 64 or the full 256?

Love the work, and truly love what you do to make my droid ULTIMATE.

    Lost

Guy-I could really use help with the auto partition. Ive been rooted for a while now and have 9.8, but the adb shell thing is way over my head. I'm assuming this script cannot be run in terminal? I would appreciate a noob step by step on accessing adb shell. Thanks so much!

ADB Shell is easy once you understand it. But I am not qualified to teach it....you can do a search here and you will find half a dozen threads on it.

And here is one good outside source that provides pics with his walkthrough...
