GMail in UD 9.8.0

I updated to UD 9.8.0 today and everythings works swimmingly. There is one issue though. GMail refuses to auto check for emails and notify me of new ones. It will see new emails if i manual refresh the app. I have cleared the data on the GMail app and GMail Storage and still no luck. Has anyone else run into this and does anyone know how to fix this?

I am having the same problem. The only way my gmail emails come through is if I push refresh...

Ugh..Can anyone else comment on this issue?

I haven't pulled the trigger on 9.8 yet (still on 9.0)

I need my Gmail sync to work, I use it daily for work and can not be without!

luck for u guys i went crazy with this problem and fix it. now goto settings,apps,manage apps, hit menu and select filter all, and goto both gmail and gmail storage and hit clear data. now dont get scared it will say u will lose data and account. i promise u wont. hit clear let it syn back to google servers and problem fixed. send me a thankks! if it worked and after do *228 for kicks

clearing both of those did not fix it for me
