Unimpressed probably just need some help?
I just rooted my droid and installed ultimate droid v9 before the 2.1 update. At first I couldn't really tell if I was getting the speeds you guys are? I see everybody loving their rooted devices and I just feel about the same as before. I got cool new layouts and live wallpapers working but I might have some settings incorrect or not setup properly. Any help would be great

Buy SetCPU and read my thread on overclocking. Link is in signature.
Facts are a wonderful thing. They can be proven true or false. Opinions on the other-hand aren't facts and generally get argued to death. I wonder which one is more helpful normally?

Are you having any issues like glitches or bugs, or are you just saying you can't tell the difference between your Droid stock and rooted? I'm running BB v.09 and I can honestly say it is a big difference when compared to stock. Even with the new 2.1 update that just rolled out. I actually rooted my phone because I was pissed that the 2.1 update kept being delayed...now that I am running BB, at 800mhz, there is no way I'm going back to stock. Also, did you download SetCPU from the market? I'm pretty sure UD comes with a stock 1ghz Kernel.

I got set cpu and did the read on overclocking. It just seems laggy and cumbersome at times. I just figured it would of been so much smoother. Here are my set cpu settings:
1000max. 700 min. Set on boot checked performance
Charging 800/125
Sleep standby 900/125
Failsafe 250/125 battery greater than 45 degrees celsius

Are you running v9.0 or v9.8? Which launcher and when/where is it lagging?

The build number says ultimate droid v9 and the launcher looks like a little droid and when u click it fades from the edges. You can also hold it to access I believe 6 screens. I notice some lag out of sleep/standby and also sliding between screens and orientation. I was going to try a different kernal but I didn't see UD on RM anymore so I've been reading the posts. I believe its a chevy 1.0 ghz and its low voltage but not 100 percent on that.

Sounds like the Launcher2/Helix2 with the 3D app drawer. Since you are on v9 you might consider giving v9.8 a try. A little lag out of sleep/standby can occur as the processor ramps up from the lower CPU speed setting since it is probably set to "ondemand".
v9.8 uses the stock launcher or the Helix1 launcher. Helix1 looks very similar to what you are using now but does not have the 3D app drawer which I think makes it respond faster.

Is this 9.8 found in the sticky area?

How's you battery life and temperature with those SetCPU settings?

Seems to be fine. Temp is between 89 and 107. Battery life is 24 hours +
