Having problems installing 9.8!?!?!?

Im not sure why, but im coming from 8.1.1 i did factory reset, then install, allow install, but installation just aborts! help please!

There are two basic methods in sprecovery. One is the is update.zip method that uses the install commands and the other is the nandroid restore method that uses the backup/restore commonds. See the first page of BD's post on 9.8. The two install methods are listed there with directions. Any time you have installation problems when using the update.zip method, it is wise to switch to the nandroid method following a wipe of the system.

Ok, Thank you but that's where i made my mistake i chose the nandroid one because i didn't want to choose the nexus theme and i tried update.zip with the nandroid method. Ill just go with the nexus theme full install and update.zip and if that doesn't work then ill go nandroid method, But thank you for the help it makes perfect sence now. duh!

I tried both methods and can't install either way and I'm getting pissed off getting error 21 on nandroid install I'll have to try again things were simple with Rom manager Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

Wish i could figure out how to get a nandroid folder actually in my sd card? lol. So i can try this nandroid method people keep talking about for getting 9.8 i may just wait til 10. also i really miss my sprecovery on boot instead of this green and black one that now comes up.

You create the nandroid folder on your sdcard if it isn't already there. Then your nandroid backups go into it. Follow the instructions on page one of the 9.8 thread for the nandroid method.
