I installed with the Nandroid recovery file and did the "de-select" data when i did the factory wipe. I didn't loose anything,apps, etc.. and ROm is working GREAT really fast. I tested a couple LW and they seem fine. Only issue is the phone keyboard ,same as in 9.0 real dim and hard to see in daylight.

Can i install the phone correction file update.zip from 9.0 to correct this ?

droid customizer? ive got my kernel, droid 9.8, and UD droid theme installed...

I just cant find the customizer...

anyone know where thats at?

BD pulled out of ROM Mangers.
In time he will create his own ROM Manager app

Terminal Emulator force closes on me. Can someone tell me what needs to be done. I tried uninstall and reboot still get force close. Thanks!

I had that issue on 9.0. I just bought terminal emulator pro and it worked fine. Sorry I'm not sure if I have that issue on 9.8 since I've just been using that one. Also try Android Terminal instead of Terminal if you want a free alternative.

Do we have an eta on the 3d helix launcher...I hatee the reg one and don't wanna pay the 3 bucks for clockwork mod...esp bc I want my lil droid icon n not the nexus dots thing

Here's a fun project for someone - instead of the market icon on NexTheme that says "HTC" have it display the DROID logo. That would be sick.

That's sick. I'm not quite sure how to get that on my phone, though. I've searched, and there's a lot of stuff about bettercut, but I can only figure out how to make shortcuts and folders. How can I take any picture, and make that the actual picture for a given app? For example, I use chompsms, and every theme colors out the default messaging picture, which looks awesome, while chomp is an ugly lime green still. I want to take the picture from the messaging app and make that the chomp picture. It'd look way sweeter on my homescreen. Thank you very much in advance.

Well, it said that the ultimate droid customizer needed to be used to select between the different launchers in 9.8, im assuming its also used to allow multiple home screens, as once i update to 9. 8, it went back to 550mhz kernel and 3 screens. I updated back to chevy's lv 1.25 kernel... the kernel is is installed, but im not seeing 7 slots, only 3 still. I can overclock now, but i also have the just the standard non 3d helix launcher.

I installed in this orderd from 9.0 (which was running a 7-slot chevy kernel just fine)

9.8 as an update.zip
chevy 1.25 lv kernel as update.zip
and the ultimate droid theme as a update.zip

did i do something wrong? According to the instructions, it should include somehting called "utlimate droid customizer, as it states in his instructions on the first post of this thread:

Yes I did choose to mount before opening the c prompt.

I just booted the droid in to sprecovery and ran adb shell then format cmds

OK that worked BUT when I got to format DATA: it responded with:
mtd: not erasing bad block at 0x080a0000
mtd: not erasing bad block at 0x0b200000

What should I do with the bad blocks?
Is that a damaged disc, or bad clusters?

not sure exactly about bad blocks... from what I've read in forum posts is there is nothing you can do about them and won't effect nothing. The system just writes around them
