You can't that is the same program the dev use. No way u will brick your phone. Like I said use XP it worked with no problems
Follow the directions and you will be fine. If it doesn't work the first time just redo it again. But Windows XP went all the way twice for me and Windows 7 failed
I was asking because some people had problems with Superuser Permissions not working properly when USB Debugging was off.
This is a long shot, but this next link is for an Ultimate Droid 8.1.1 ROM that uses clockwork recovery.
If you wanna try, you can download this, rename it to update.zip (or just update if using Vista or Windows7 with file extensions not showing)
So be exact, if you download the file and it's called UltimateDroidV8.1.1_CWNandroiiiid.zip rename it to update.zip
If it's called UltimateDroidV8.1.1_CWNandroiiiid (without the zip) then just rename it to update
Copy the file to the root of your sdcard. Reboot into recovery and flash the update.zip
Here's the link...

I would suggest doing a clockwork backup of your current system before doing it. (in case things are worse)
We're getting to the bottom of the barrel for answers here. Anyone else out there listening?
yeah I say just re flash the sucker thats what I'd do less headache
Yeah well clockwork isnt functional enough in order to do a back up..not that I care anymore I lost all my Melon notes which was my only really valuable stuff already (rap lyrics..yeah I'm white but sometimes a guy has to freestyle) and I basically remember all my apps. And good to know the .sbf wont brick it I got worried from the red txt haha. And I'm using an XP machine. FTW. So yeah I think its .sbf time.
At least your not in the same boat as my client today.
College student who hasn't done a backup since January on his laptop.
Still running recovery software on his hard drive. I'm gonna end up going old school and using a sector editor to recover his data. That or no completed projects for a few of his classes. Sure I'll make more than twice what his laptop is worth, but man it sucks doing data recovery.
Yeah its getting to the point where I miss the OC kernel wayy to much. The laggyness esp with scrolling menus, phone calls, and non-functional apps is driving me crazy. Plus I feel bad for you guys haha. OK ima reflash it now..-holding breath-
Now I know why your directions are a lot better than mine![]()
