can't send out gmail

This is a discussion on can't send out gmail within the Blackdroid forums, part of the Custom Roms category; receiving it just fine but i'm unable to send a new gmail or respond to one i got. using UD v9 so i posted this ...

    can't send out gmail

    receiving it just fine but i'm unable to send a new gmail or respond to one i got. using UD v9 so i posted this here...any ideas?

    Try: Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->Gmail, then clear cache

    What kind of error message are you getting when you try to send mail?
    I am I. I use DROID. I like DROID.

    WP gallery links removed per forum guidelines for sigs, CoC #12. PM me for them.

    has same prblem a few days ago. going to settings and manage app hit menu and hit filter and gto gmail storage and clear data and it will say waring u will lose account. i promise u wont, hit it. it will syn back with severs and problem fixed

    the only thing i have in my list is com.android.email ....the cache is 0kb and the clear cache button is grayed out

    i'm not getting an error message. when responding to an email it just gives the sending.... i checked my labels and in my out box there are several emails with the same sending.... that have never been sent.

    Go to settings, apps, then hit menu then filter and select all... then clear out cache on anything that says gmail, I think there are 2

    finally found it using the filter method...cache was huge i cleared it and am sending out some test emails
