Naw, it's under All. not under Downloads. I'll try titanium backup.
Makes sense... The ROM you are on incorporated FB in it's zip possibly for some tweak.. Maybe sync contacts enable or something I'm thinking..

What ROM are you on? I'm thinking it's conflicting.. Only other thing I can think of is manually pushing the FB apk using root explorer or similar file manager app and changing permissions..

I'm running the accidentally leaked version of Jelly Bean that came out for the Maxx. Haven't done anything else to it but root it.
It has to be related to the build since it came pre installed.. I'm not sure maybe someone using that version can chime in.. I'd try pushing the themed apk to System/app and setting permissions.. Also let's check.. Can you download FB from playstore successfully?

Hmm.. I'm not sure.. I downloaded Root browser to test.. It let's me long press and change permissions.. Maybe someone has another idea sorry I'm out of ideas..
