Day of Ubuntu (Live Wallpaper)

I published my first live wallpaper not too long ago, but given the nature of Android's marketplace it rapidly disappeared from any useful list. So I figured I'd announce it here, just in case others are looking for a simple live wallpaper that looks good and doesn't drain your battery. It is mostly static with a bit of a time element. It doesn't respond to touches or anything other than time. Simple and clean, which is what I like

The live wallpaper is called "Day of Ubuntu", and is a port of an old background that used to ship with Ubuntu Linux several years ago. It's an all day wallpaper that slowly transitions to roughly indicate the current time of day.

It is written to be very light on CPU usage and scrolls very quickly (draws for scrolling are basically the same speed as a regular static image wallpaper).

As a fan of simplicity, this looks very right and the main reason I avoid the common LWPs. Will try it out for a few days and see.

If you've got something you would like to see, let me know. I was originally going to port Gnome's animation system that this was originally in so that you can make your own transitions (or download them from somewhere like gnome-look.org), but my job is now writing Android apps so free time that I'm willing to spend working on Android is a bit scarce

That is the "Paperless System ADWTheme" by Eliot Stocker for ADW.Launcher. Both the launcher and the theme are in the marketplace, and both are free.
