What are you looking for that is different than just standard email, sms text or google talk?
"Because talent won't be quiet, doesn't know how to be quiet. Whether it's a talent for safe-cracking, thoughtreading, or dividing ten-digit numbers in your head, it screams to be used. It never shuts up. It'll wake you in the middle of your tiredest night, screaming, 'Use me, use me, use me! I'm tired of just sitting here! Use me, ****head, use me!'"

She isn't looking to communicate with her daughter. Read her question again; she wants an app that will allow her to monitor the texts that her daughter is sending/receiving, and she wants to receive these messages via email if possible.

I'm not sure if an app like that exists?

Maybe her phone service provider has some kind of parental controls service they offer (most likely at an additional price).

Sounds like you may be wanting something like this. https://www.wavesecure.com/ Allows you to remotely download all messages phone calls and pictures on the phone, but only while they are on the phone - if she deletes them right away you may not get them. Also, lets you track the GPS location of the phone... might come in handy. It also lets you lock down the phone should you ever need to temporarily block her access. Best of all, if installed and setup properly it can not be uninstalled without entering the six digit locking code.

    Good luck
