The word beta is used very loosely for one. This app is ready for the bigtime because as far as the description is concerned it matches perfectly. It is missing a few feature in which the developerf obviously cares enough to start a thread on making I better. Not to mention a little free pr lol..... but let it go no one made us by this app but we are all glad we did

    Hey,

    Here is my feedback...

ForceClosed every time i used it. Had to power down and back up. Not cool.

As far as what it did while i was able to use it? sweet. one finger swipe to move between pictures would be nice. maybe simple sharing pictures ability would be nice.

That forceclose is the main issue. can't really use the app

ok. found another one. for me anyway. it did initially, and now it doesn't. I am missing pictures from the main screen. The one that displays all. once i go into them i could scan and get to them, but they don't appear initially.

    Wink Check this out

Now that I have begun cleaning this thread up . Let me say this. It is ok to have your opinion and all, but post in large red letters and calling for other people to not buy this app is wrong . The developer has a point here! If you are looking for free apps or software go to the market. They have been upfront and honest about what this is . If anyone has an issue with that let me know by PM. If not keep it civil here please. Try to have a nice day
Sometimes , It is what it is !

When will there an update available? I am anxious to see it.

About paying for a development... I think it is a great concept. It is a way to fund innovation with a very tiny contribution. These people who want everything free... how about telling your boss that he can just keep your paycheck this week, that you want to work for a while for free? Of course not... you you need money to buy some groceries. So do software coders. There is a strange fantasy among some people that every software enterprise is some kind of a government project and that it all should be free... instead, some groups are struggling to have the money to get started. Having a mechanism which allows some of us (those with shreds of generosity and curiosity) to participate and assist in that development is a wonderful concept.

how would you guys rate the the multi-touch?

is it 'sensitive' like dolphin browser or precise like iPhone?

can you move the photo while pinching? i.e. put two fingers down... realitive distance controls zoom - but at the same time, if you move both fingers, the image moves along too?

I'm about ready to buy this, but want to know what i'm getting into.

    @WhiskeySix...

2 things. First, yes you can move the picture while zooming. Second, it's only $.99 cents. You spend more than that on an impulse buy at the grocery store! Just buy it and try it out. And if you don't like how something works, email the developer and give your input into how you think it should work. If it's a good idea you have a good chance they will implement your suggestion. And worse case you can return the app if you hate it and don't feel like waiting for your suggestion to be implemented.

I buy and even donate for apps.. that's not the issue. if its locking up phones I 'll hold off until the beta is stable.

I'm just wondering what YOUR opinion of the pinch zoom is

My opinion is biased. I am surrounded by apple fanboys at work who all have iPhones. They believe that if an app doesn't have pinch to zoom then it's crap. So for me I need imagine and dolphin just to show them that android has pinch to zoom. As for how it compares to iPhone pinch to zoom? well they don't think it's as smooth but I definitely think it is better than tap, tap, tap on the magnifying glass.

@SoftwareForMe.com...Suggestion. If you could cause the picture to be centered from where it is pinched that would be nice. Like if the face is in the top, and I start my pinch there, then have the frame zoom on that spot rather than what was in the center such that the face fills the screen rather than the chest.

Edit: as for stability it's fine as long as the photos are not large. large photos tend to cause outOfMemory erros and force close. But pressing the home button between pressing the close button allows you to close the program without reseting (or pulling the battery as some have suggested, which is a bad idea).

Isn't it funny how we view App prices? Most of us won't think twice about dropping $5 for a cappuccino, a pack of cigarettes or Big mac and fries, yet sometimes apps that cost just a buck or two seem "pricey."

I think it's a consequence of the "free-me" culture, and I actually think it's a good thing. I, for one, am tired of paying the insane prices of PC software, and I think the much simpler sales model of mobile software might turn the industry back into a "business" rather than a "gold mine."

Back to the thread's topic: I'd like to hear from anybody who had to pull their battery because of this app. We now know there is a bug in which the app will FC, and as soon as you press "Close," Android re-runs it. It causes a loop that's tough to get out of, but if you hit Home immediately after clicking "Close," the app will exit.

On the FC's, we've found a handful of reasons for this: some are strange nuances in Android's handling of the content provider, some are memory errors from images larger than we anticipated, some are just bad [early] programming (A gigantic THANKS to the wonderful folks who've given us feedback and helped track these down).

Also, this thread--and our email--is full of terrific suggestions for features, the sort of stuff that made us say "Ya, of course!"

We look forward to releasing rev 2 very soon.

    Hey,
I just started a Google Wave for the purpose of gathering ideas for Imagine Multitouch. Any of you with wave can find it by searching for "with:public imagine multitouch". should be the first or second hit.

I hope this will allow us to keep suggestions organized since we can comment directly on feature requests even out of order. And it's just cool. If you want a google wave invite, PM me and I'll send you one while I have some left.
