Had it deleted it, novelty app. accuracy = doubtful.

It is still in the app store. The link still works or has been fixed since the time it wasn't.

Google Translate for Animals

Perhaps it is only available on certain networks, certain countries, etc. Anyway, I just re-installed it and it works fine. Not sure if this truly is a gag or a serious attempt. We know that certain animals make certain noises that mean certain things, like when a cat hisses or a dog growls. Those are not really difficult to translate. It's not a far stretch to believe that Google has used their voice translation algorithm to include animals.

But damn it seems so unlikely...

But as just a gag factor it's awesome, Google has a reputation so it makes it believable even if it isn't.

Yeah, I just used the QR code on Androlib's site and it did come up. Oh well, with all our cats it would've been nice to know what they want.
