Announcing the RouterRemote Beta test (name suggestions are accepted)
RouterRemote is an app designed to ease router administration and can be used as a minimal Web browser also.
Simply launch RouterRemote and select Menu -> Settings
You will find five settings available here which are:
Router Username, Router Password, Root URL, Homepage and UserAgent.
The first two will be your routers WebUI username/password, Root URL is the IP Address or hostname of your router including http:// and port number if not port 80 (may add port setting as I just thought about it).
Homepage is a little misleading, this option allows you to set any URL you like (can be google.com...etc) and reach this favorite by clicking the icon/RouterRemote text on the top left of the main interface.
The UserAgent option allows you to pretend to be other browsers. Currently three agents are available (Mobile, Chrome, and Googlebot). If you don't know what this is for simply set it to Mobile.
The menu options are all self explanatory with Root being the exception, the Root menu option is a shortcut to the URL you chose in the "Root URL" settings dialog
After you finish setup press the back button then select Menu -> Root and you should see your routers WebUI.
Images are not loaded by default, when you want to see images simply select the Load Images menu option.
I have only tested this on a Galaxy Nexus running 4.2.2 so please report what device you are using and Android ROM/Revision if you have an issue. If your issue is WebUI related also post your router model and firmware revision.
