But this was meant more as a general application discusion for new ideas for when the real app is officially announced by the developer. Sorry I didn't make that clearer, my bad.

Hopefuly since most people here have a Droid with Google maps they can still find us back here in the backfield :-)

Is there a possibility that I can get in on the beta testing? I am torn between what is a good twitter app....to me they all look "ok". But based on what I have seen on this so far...I am hooked. I'll buy now; beta or not.

Unfortunately you'll have to ask Tama about that but from what I've read he's not looking for anymore beta testers at this time. At this point he's working hard for the release on the 15th!

But you can be a "virtual" beta tester by posting in this thread any additional ideas and features you would like to see in the release or in future releases :-)

Just got a new Touiteur Beta from Tama, more cool stuff has been added as he gets closer to a release. Can't wait to see what else is being added!

In addition to the 4x1 and 4x2 widgets there is now also a 4x3 WIdget!




AND he has added intergrated TweetPhoto support!

Note new "Attach" button on the Reply/send Tweet pop-up..




Tapping the Attach button brings up the "Attach" pop-up screen with options for:
"Upload from Gallery" for adding photos on your phone to the TweetPhoto Server (BTW, no account setup is required).

"Insert from TweetPhoto" for adding photo links to the current reply/Tweet.

"Take a Picture" which opens up the camera app where yo utake a photo and when you press OK in the Camera app it automatically uploads the photo to TweetPhoto.




Tapping "Insert from TweetPhoto" brings up this built-in screen where you select Photos you have uploaded photos from the Gallery, photos taken with your Camera, or of course photos you have added directly to you TweetPhoto account on the web.




Once you tap on the Photo(s) you want in your Tweet the TweetPhoto link appears in the Reply/Tweet screen ready to be sent along with your message.




As I said I can't wait to see what other feautres Tama adds to this very slick intuitive Twitter app/client!

So far it is looking great and until you see Touiteur in person you can't fully appreciate just how professional and slick the UI looks, works and "feels".

Looks very nice. When you select the tweets caption on the bottom, does it show all your own tweets...or is it a mix of both your tweets and other tweets directed at you? I currently have Twidroid and they display both yours and others. I like Seesmic and TweetCaster, but that was the one feature they didn't have and I unistalled those quickly.

It's a "unified" tweet view timeline, it shows all tweets that you follow in all of your accounts and it also displays all your mentions within it. Basically it shows you everything lol
